1st International Book Fair in Dallas, Texas

July 14-16, 2006

The Dallas Public Library is hosting an international book fair to promote love for books, reading and writing. The Book Fair will also be a forum to debate books, and there will be information on how to publish a work and what it takes to become a journalist. Known authors will talk about their experiences with the audience. There will be a book sale, live music, theatre and film.

The event will include panel discussions on how to publish your book and on immigration law, workshops on writing poetry and fiction. Over 45 authors will be reading from their books and signing books. Fifteen cultures will be represented at the fair. The cultural program includes artistic performances, film, theater, music and children activities including story time, puppet shows, theater, face painting, balloons, piņata-making, arts and crafts.

The upcoming festival was recently featured on the front page of one of our sponsors, "El Extra", Anuncian Feria Internacional del Libro (page 1 and page 2) and at "El Universal" Buscan promover autores hispanos en Dallas.
